The owner of Heffley77 Illustration and Design, Dominique is a visual artist and graphic designer based in Los Angeles, CA.
Dominique’s work has been seen in galleries, in live theatre (set-projection), in print (children's books/design), in the Pasadena Rose Parade (float design), in haunted houses (murals) — and even in graveyards (gravestone design).
Drawing from abstraction, surrealism, modern cartoon, and iconography, Dominique develops narratives through dreamlike shape-clusters and hallucinatory characters such as friendly monsters, divine beings, and playful animal constructs — whose eyes draw viewers into their fantastical existence.
Currently her work can be seen at the Hive Gallery in downtown Los Angeles.
Dominique received her BFA at the Minneapolis College of Art & Design, explored traditional Chinese arts at the China Academy of Fine Art in Hangzhou and studied visual art at the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts.
